SKB 3I1208-3-BH1 Overview

Exclusive to B&H, this SKB iSeries Waterproof Case is designed to safely store and transport a Sony UWP-D two-channel wireless combo mic system. It features a custom-cut PE foam interior that securely holds one camera-mount receiver, two bodypack transmitters, one plug-on transmitter, and one handheld transmitter/mic or the handheld mic of your choice. Additional compartments accommodate lavaliers and various small accessories. A list of compatible systems is available below and under the Compatibility tab.

The waterproof cases is molded of ultra-high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin. It features a gasket-sealed, water-and-dust-tight, submersible design (MIL-C-4150J / IP67), which is resistant to UV, solvents, corrosion, fungus, and impact damage (MIL-STD-810G).

Other features include a molded-in hinge, a patented trigger-release latch system, a comfortable, snap-down, rubber-over-molded-cushion grip handle, and an automatic ambient-pressure equalization valve (MIL-STD-648C).

Made in the USA, the case comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

The URX-P03D Doesn’t Fit

As you can see from my photos, i had to cut into the padding in order for the receiver antennas to not get bent when putting into the case. I don’t know what receiver they used in the photos but it’s not the URX-PO3D. Not only did I have to cut slits to make the antennas fit, I also had to cut into the padding to make the receiver with its hot shoe base bracket fit into the case. They really expect you to disassemble into every time? That just increases wear and tear on the sensitive hot shoe. No thanks. I didn’t even see a good snug place for the hot shoe bracket. Why not? And then the sublayer padding is of a different type which crumbles more readily. So I had to put tape across the area where I cut so that no crumbles of the padding gets stuck in the hot shoe. It’s a hot mess. Don’t believe the product photos.

Everything about this case is excellent for maintaining my expensive sony wireless mic system in good condition while transporting and storing. always find when i put anything in a case. It's last and don't loose misc parts. One thing I would of liked to see for the transmitter cutout is the option for the reciver and the mi hotshoe attached. It's kinda fustrurating being a sony shooter and having to everytime attach and detach the hotshoe. Would be the perfect case for the systems if i didn't have to do that. Otherwise still gets 4- Starts. 5 when everything attached fits

Is there a version of this that actually holds two receivers for the two transmitters?

This SKB iSeries Waterproof Case is designed to hold one Sony URX-P03D receiver, which is the two-channel receiver, along with two UTX-B40 bodypack transmitters, a UTX-M40 wireless handheld mic or a different handheld mic, and a UTX-P40 plug-on transmitter. If you are using two single-channel Sony UWP systems (two URX-P40 or URX-P03 receivers and two bodypack transmitters, you could modify the foam in the space where the plug-on transmitter fits and use it for the second receiver. We also have the SKB iSeries Waterproof Case for Sony UWP-D16, Sennheiser EW, or Senal Wireless Combo Mic Systems (B&H # SK3I09074BH1) which is for the single-channel Sony receiver, a bodypack transmitter and plug-on transmitter. As another option, you can purchase a case with cubed foam like the SKB 3I-0907-4-C Small Mil-Std Waterproof Case 4" Deep with Cubed Foam (B&H # SK3I09074BC) and then customize the interior to fit your wireless gear. The same case is also available with Think Tank dividers which are padded and removable (they attach with velcro) so you can customize the interior to accommodate your gear.
