No-Brainer for Small Builds & Glass

For the price, nothing comes close. Buying extra back screw-on rings is cheap too for different sizes, and this comes with most that you'd need. It's so light, I can even attach it to the end of my Sigma 18-50 2.8 E Mount lens on an FX30 and while it's a little strain, it's good in a pinch to use the eyebrow. I'm a 1st AC for a living, so I've even brought my personal one onto SP3's on an FX6 and Vespids on a Burano, it's just a great little box for small cine lenses (and photo lenses) For the price, it's a steal, even not on sale

This is very easy to clamp on, is super light, doesn’t feel like it’s hard on the lens. Comes with most of the adapter rings you will need. Great piece of gear.

If I wanted to buy cover caps for these adapter rings so I can leave them on the lenses, what size would I look for? I see 85mm is the largest size to fit through matte box, but does that mean I’d look for 85mm cover caps or...? Thanks
I just did a test with the 72mm adapter ring that fit onto one of my Canon lenses, and the Canon lens cap fit into the Tilta adapter ring perfectly. Unfortunately some of my cinema lenses don't have these "pinch-style" lens caps, they have something more like a rubberized cup that fits over the entire outside of the lens barrel, and that's not going to fit when the adapter ring is installed. I have a lot of lenses that fit the 77mm adapter so it might be worth it to buy an extra lens cap so I can leave the adapter ring on and save time when arriving on set.

How can you have more than one filter like an ND and polarizer together?
The Tiltaing Mini Matte Box can hold a single 4 x 5.65 filter at the front filter slot and a single circular filter on the various-size adapter rings.

Has anyone had a problem with reflections with this Matte Box with a filter installed?
You can have reflections with any mattebox that has light leaks. Those leaks can from in front or behind the MB. That being said this clip on shouldn’t have leaks from behind. Light could be leaking in around the filter since it’s a slide in type. Hard to know without more information regarding the actual situation when you encountered this.

Can this be set up on a Sony 28-135mm kit lens (95mm filter ring)?
You cannot. This will not accommodate a lens that large.

Is there an option to mount a round filter stage in the back?
This support one 4 x 5.65" Filter. It may be possible to attach a filter to the lens itself with a filter thread, but that is not recommended and may not be possible with thicker filters.

Would there be a problem using this Matte Box on the Sony fe16-35mm zoom lens? There is a small inner barrel extention at the 16mm end of the zoom range... would the weight of the Matte Box potetially cause damage to the zoom barrel? Thanks
There should be no issues using this with either the Sony 16-35mm F/2.8 or F/4. The F/2.8 has an 82mm filter thread and the F4 has a 72mm thread, which are both adapters that come in the box with this product.

I'm considering getting this for use with my Panasonic UX-90. Is there enough clearance over the matte box for the overhang of the built-in mic/handle?
I don’t have the UC-90 but I see the overhang. That might be a close call.
