Solid build quality
Initial impressions after unboxing and assembly/disassembly: I went back and forth between this and the Matthew's Overhead Hollywood frame. In my experience Matthew's c-stands have slightly better build quality than my Kupo stands, but nothing that significantly affects performance of one over the other for my use case, and the same seems to hold true here as well (though I have not seen the Matthew's frame in person). The Kupo frame is very solidly built, easy to assemble/disassemble, holds a 6x6 gridcloth beautifully, and the corners can be bolted together when partially disassembled for storage and transportation much like its counterpart. The frame ears are easy to use and fit securely inside a grip head, and nice to have two attachment points included. One note: The solid build and heavy-duty aluminum tubes make this a fairly large/heavy package. Total length when packed for transport/storage is 75 inches, something to keep in mind for indie filmmakers. Overall I'm impressed and can't wait to put it to use on set.
