The Palmer PAN04A is an active 2-channel DI box suitable for routing high-impedance instruments to the microphone inputs of a mixing desk or PA system. If you have a stereo guitar rig that you want to route directly to the house, the PAN04A would be a high-quality option for that purpose, one free from ground hum and noise interference.
Two 1/4" inputs are on hand, each with a -30 dB pad should you need to lower the input signal. Two 1/4" outputs leave your sound unaffected. These link outputs are useful for passing unprocessed signal to your on-stage amplifier setup. You'll find a stereo XLR output section for feeding transformer-balanced, impedance-matched signal to its mic-level destination.
A third XLR output sums your stereo signal to mono and can pass monaural audio to an additional destination. This comes in handy should you only have one input available on the mixing board.
This is an active DI box, and it draws its power from a 9 or 24V mains adapter. Alternatively, you can draw power straight from any mixing console that supplies 48V phantom power.
