The American DJ Focus Spot 6Z is a 300W moving-head spot fixture, well suited for lighting installations and live performance applications in clubs, theaters, and concert productions. The 6Z features a 300W cool-white LED engine (rated at 50,000 hours), 630° pan and 270° tilt with 16-bit fine control, motorized focus, and a motorized zoom from 9 to 28°. Other notable features include two gobo wheels (7 gobos + open), two color wheels, each with 7 vibrant colors plus white, and two rotating/indexable prisms (one 6-facet linear and one 6-facet circular). It also has two frost effects (heavy frost and light frost) to create soft edge wash looks.

This fixture features six selectable dimming curves as well as numerous built-in effects.

The American DJ Focus Spot 6Z is a 300W moving-head spot fixture, well suited for lighting installations and live performance applications in clubs, theaters, and concert productions. The 6Z features a 300W cool-white LED engine (rated at 50,000 hours), 630° pan and 270° tilt with 16-bit fine control, motorized focus, and a motorized zoom from 9 to 28°. Other notable features include two gobo wheels (7 gobos + open), two color wheels, each with 7 vibrant colors plus white, and two rotating/indexable prisms (one 6-facet linear and one 6-facet circular). It also has two frost effects (heavy frost and light frost) to create soft edge wash looks.

This fixture features six selectable dimming curves as well as numerous built-in effects.

For controls, the unit features two DMX channel modes (22/25) with 3-pin and 5-pin XLR DMX input and output connectors, as well as an RJ45 connector for ArtNet and KlingNet protocols. Multiple units can be daisy-chained to create complex lighting installations. The color display on the front panel shows DMX addressing and function settings, controllable via the six-button interface. A dedicated USB port is available for firmware updates.

Good for the Price

I got 4 of these to add to an existing stage-lighting system. They're flexible, easy to program and bright. I wish the quality of the light spectrum was a little better. Even with the built-in CTO filter engaged, I had to add a 1/4 stop green gel and that only gets it close to 3200K. I primarily have tungsten lights and generally use these as special augmentation due to the light not matching well.
