This item was purchased to attach an Arca Swiss tripod mounting plate to my camera so that I could easily switch my camera from a tripod plate to a Black Rapid camera strap with a carabiner. What I found was that the height of the screw head where the split ring attaches to the screw was too tall. As a result, the Arca Swiss camera mounting Plate would not set flush with the mating surface of the tripod plate. Thus making it unusable for my application.
