Zacuto Z-C500-TP Overview

The dedicated Canon C500 Mark II & C300 Mark III Top Plate from Zacuto attaches to the top of your C500 Mark II or C300 Mark III camera body. It features an integrated Z-Rail that enables you to slide an attached handle forward and backward for improved balance. This plate incorporates a single 15mm rod bracket and a grooved mount for the camera's LCD.

The top plate also features multiple 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 threads, as well as ARRI-style anti-twist mounts for attaching accessories.

I purchased directly from the Zacuto website and I wish I purchased it directly from B&H. Shipping took so long that it felt like it was made on the moon, then shipped to China, and then shipped to my distant home in New Hampshire. Half a star off for that. And another star and a half down because they sent me a used, scratched-up copy, even though I paid full price, which is unacceptable. Sure, the plate is on sale, but nowhere in the listing does it say: used or refurbished. Shame on Zacuto's customer support and/or quality control team. Other than that, it is a unique piece of equipment specially designed for the C300 Mark III. Pretty well engineered, perfectly flush with the top of the camera, and quite functional.

This plate is designed to attach to the top of the Canon C500 II, C300mk III, and it should work with the Ronin 2 gimbal.

It has a built in Z-Rail perfect for adding the Zacuto Tactical Handle. Or if desired, you can reattach your Canon Handle to the plate. If you opt to use Canon's camera handle, and need to mount an Axis for a Gratical EVF, you can mount the Z-Rail Axis mount to the front of your top plate and it will give you a 15mm quick release rod port to mount the Axis Mini, EVF Mount.
