Take your deep sea explorations to the next level using the waterproof Bushnell 7x50 Marine Binoculars with Compass. These binoculars possess all the right characteristics that you find in nautical binoculars beyond their class: a Porro prism design for enhanced perception of depth, individual focusing, an O-ring-sealed nitrogen fill for fogproofing, and a thick rubber armoring designed to resist impact and corrosion from saltwater. In addition to the clarity and brightness of full multi-coatings, the optical system also offers wide 50mm objectives lenses and some protection from harmful UV rays. To set itself apart as a truly marine binocular, it allows you to make accurate nautical measurements and notes with its built-in analog compass and an illuminated range-finding reticle.

question

It has individual eye focusing, but is it what is commonly referred to as insta-focus, ie always in focus at nearly any distance once each eye is focused?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is not instafocus. In fact it has wquite a cumbersome focusing system that means you have to fdocus each eye all the time! Instafocus, as far as I can tell, does not actually keep things in focus at various distances, but is just that once you have adjusted the binocs for both eyes, you can then focus at any distance and both eyes will be in focus still. To me, it just sounds like most other binocs I have used!

question

Will these work in the Southern Hemisphere ?
Asked by: Anonymous
I actually dont know will it work in Southern Hemisphere, because I use those binoculars in Vietnam, Northern Hemisphere. And they work just find. Form my understanding, the Binocular's compass work by using on the Earth magnetic field, and should work fine in both Hemispheres. However, if it close to something made from iron, the magnetic field from iron can affect the compass.
