I'm a professional musician that gigs a lot with multiple keyboards. I bought this stand for a set that included me running a Moog Sub 37 (heavy), a 61 key MIDI controller (light) and a top shelf with pedals and a light theremin (medium). The stand is surprisingly solid and unfolds without too much trouble. For a 3 tiered stand it actually folds up fairly compactly as well. It held the weight of all 3 keyboards no problem. However, my issue with it is the lack of adjustability between the tiers. You can only tilt. The space between each tier is fixed, and this wastes a lot of space and gets in the way of your visibility. Overall well built, but not suitable for my needs.
I got this as a gift and the 2nd tier never lined up correctly. The way this stand was built, the teeth didn't line up and the arms would be crooked from one another. A year and a half later, I tracked down a copy of the reciept and contacted Quik Lok's customer service. They sent me a new stand and I am now pleased! It is a sturdy stand, and I would recommend it. You may need to return/exchange it if you get one that doesn't line up.
