    QuikLok QL-642 reviews

QL-642 X-Style Double Brace Two-Tier Heavy Duty Keyboard Stand is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some Improvements and Some Steps Back Too I bought my first QL-642 back in 2001. It is one of the few stands that will allow the height to be lower than 25, which is why I bought in the first place. After somewhat heavy usage in the last year, the second tier failed. I bought a new one and was pleased to find out that the second tier is even more adjustable and everything is still there that I liked about the old one. However, I am noticing that the rubber feet come off too easily now and could easily be lost if I wasn't paying attention. Other than that, I expect at least 15 years of moderate usage from this stand. Very easy to setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sturdy keyboard stand It's a little heavy but that's what makes it good. This doesn't rock like some other stands I've used did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beefy Solid Stand lots of Adjustments I use this stand for live playing. The stand is much more stout and beefy than it looks in the photo. There is lots of flexibility with the 2nd tier you can adjust height and tilt of the keyboard and also tilt the vertical arms in if you are going to be using a small keyboard up top like a Mopho Keyboard or Moog Phatty. In addition you can slide the 2nd tier arms fore and aft to adjust how much the upper board overhangs your lower board. Nice. I have a big digital piano on the bottom and a small 36 key synth up top. Works great. All the adjustments lock together with meshing teeth so it is really solid. When I received it one weld holding the teeth on the tilt adjustment was broken and the teeth just spun around. Called Quiklok and they were nice and took care of the problem ASAP. Great Service. Overall a very stable stand with lots of possibilities for adjustment and capable of having big and short boards together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sturdy Stand! I use it with my Axiom 61 v2 and my Yamaha DGX-500.I love it, it's rock-solid and sturdy. I play pretty hard, but this stand doesn't wiggle at all. Double X means twice the rigidity and I love it.Great: solid, hefty, customer service...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I got this stand to replace my basic ProLine keyboard stand. I have an M-Audio Oxygen 61 on the bottom and my Akai MPK49 on the 2nd tier. The adjustability of the 2nd tier is great! I can easily utilize both keyboards at the same time. I only wish this stand had more options for the height/width of the bottom tier. It's also a lot bigger than my ProLine stand so it juts out further from the wall than I was expecting. The sturdiness of this stand makes up for the size, however.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Purchase The product does what it's supposed to do well for the price. Feels sturdy. My only complaint is that the parts for holding the higher keyboard were bent, which didn't take away from the strength of the stand, but made it look unsightly since the second tier was uneven. I use it in a studio, so I can't speak for it's dependability on the road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, adjustable, and effective So far I have only great things to say about this stand. I have an M-Audio Hammer 88 weighted keyboard on the lower tier, and an NI Komplete Kontrol 49 on top. Works great!!!
