The SBG-100 Sound Blanket from Angler minimizes acoustic reflections and reduces ambient noise or outside sound when recording audio or shooting video in an office, home environment, or any room that needs an acoustic treatment. The audio blanket's heavy cotton batting can dampen unwanted noise, improve soundproofing, and help isolate instruments when recording. Ten sturdy metal grommets provide mounting options for walls, light stands, or background supports. In addition, the audio blanket can be mounted over a window to control ambient light, and it can also be used to pad and protect gear during transport. The metal grommet holes can accommodate bungee cords to wrap valuable gear like cameras, lights, and lighting or sound consoles.

Angler SBG-100 Reviews
The Angler blankets are just okay.
I’ve been a professional audio guy for about 25 years. I’ve bought a lot of “sound blankets” that aren’t really sound blankets, and now I’ve bought 2 more of them that I don’t really want, but whatever it costs to return them taken off the refund makes them worth keeping for other uses. Years ago I bought some Matthews blankets here too, and these are about equal quality, for about half the retail price. The problem is if you spend between this price and the Matthews, there’s at least one option that’s 50% thicker and heavier, and it actually does what you want to help with unwanted reflections, etc. The pros are for the Angler AND Matthews, because they’re VERY similar down to color, thickness, and weight, which is 7.5 lbs NOT 9 lbs as the specs state. Pro: 1)Soft fabric, with sewn edges, and grommets all the way around. That’s it for the pros. These will be fine to protect furniture or otherwise use where damage or soiling is likely, but any cheap blanket can do that. Cons: 1) Blue and light blue color. No video shoot is gonna like this. There are options out there that are black one side, white the other, which is what they all should be. 2) fairly lightweight and thin. 3) the sewn border is the “frog togs” type material, not a really durable way to finish the edges. It fuzzes up just with the roughness of my hand. 4) the Matthews (and my preferred blankets) use a lock stitch on the edges. The Angler does not. 5) the overall quality and effectiveness isn’t a great value, even at the sale price, because of 1-3. That’s why I say it’s just okay. Another audio tech said these are about as heavy and thick as the producer’s choice, but they definitely are not. I’ve included a picture so you can see the three blankets discussed and compared here. Well, I tried and B&H says “something went wrong” on multiple attempts to upload pics. I can’t write detailed reviews AND debug the upload system.
UPDATE - Problem Solved!
Thanks to B&H and Angler for their prompt actions and for providing a quick solution to the problem. One of the Angler SBG-100 Sound Blankets arrived in sub-standard condition. Angler quickly provided a replacement! EXCELLENT.
