The ALZO Wall-Mounted Camera Support with Ball Head consists of a wall plate with 8" long Baby pin, a 90° adapter, and a 1/4"-20 ball-joint head. The plate features four through-holes for driving screws into the mounting surface. Mounting the 90° 1/4"-20 adapter to the Baby pin and tightening the locking knob secures it in place. This provides a 1/4"-20 threaded stud for the ball joint head to thread onto, allowing you the ability to tweak and adjust your mounted camera. ALZO Digital lists the maximum load capacity as 6 lb but recommends using this setup with cameras up to 2 lb.

Simple, but clever design for your wall-mount camera! Ingenious design gives you maximum flexibility for installation.

It is not that good of a mount. It is made with cheap plastic and metal. One of the knobs already broke, and it won't keep the same position. Honestly they shouldn't even charge $50 for it when it is made so cheap.

Is this a typical light stand mount? Like, could I used this to mount some video lights to some exposed ceiling joists?
The ALZO Wall-Mounted Camera Support with Ball Head has a 1/4"-20 mount which many lights are able to mount on to. ALZO Digital lists the maximum load capacity as 6 lb but recommends using this setup with a payload up to 2 lb, so the light that is mounted would be recommended to be under this weight.
