I bought this frame for a green screen I use at work to teach film to K-12 students. This is a full sized stand that is easy to put up for travel. It also comes with a very nice travel case. Assembly was easy and it had no issues holding a 9'x20' fleece backdrop. Highly recommended.

Is the cross bar durable enough to be used for an overhead photography rig? Specifically Canon EOS R + 50mm f/1.8.
No, the problem with doing that is bending the internal connections of each pole ultimately making them impossible to connect. I don't even use the poling for backdrops longer than 12 feet as many do. It's a great system for light backdrops, even seamless paper. You just have to be gentle with them.

Can you raise this to ANY height from 39" to 10.5 feet? Can this be raised inch by inch or is it by sections of 6-12" at a time?
The Impact BGS-S12-V2 Background Support System (12') minimum height is 39 inches (3.25 feet) and maximum height is 126 inches (10.5 feet) and can be raised inch by inch.

Best fit of seamless paper for this background
5 or 8 feet. While the middle may sag slightly, the rolls remain straight. I use seamless paper all the time with this backdrop and have no issues at all. I am very gentle on my equipment and do not rush set up or break down. That's when you create problems with the system. If you take care of the system, it will be there for you.
