Decent headphones for gaming; terrible cable quality

Make sure you buy V-Moda Boom Pro if you plan to use it as gaming headset. It looks like the build is good. The clamping isn't a big deal, but it barely fits because I have big skull. Earpad is comfortable but it heats up rather quickly, but you can try different ear pads to fit your taste Sound is 100% flat. Don't expect any signature, but sound stage is there and it's rather capable for gaming, and sensitivity is good enough for mobile devices. Now there's a problem: terrible cable. The coiled one has crack on the plug (probably from bending), and the cable with volume control has L/R swapped. Fortunately, the audio jack on unit is TRS 3.5mm and it's universal (I have several 3.5mm TRRS to 3.5mm TRS cables and I just use them) Since I have my cables used, I don't need to return the entire box, but I'd like Mackie send me the replacement coiled cable
