I put together a small portable rack to carry my A&H digital mixer (that I purchased here from B&H) and wanted a rack power unit for it. I stash power cables that run from my mixer out to the powered sound system speakers. What’s great about this power unit is I can individually turn on/off the powered speakers as well as my mixer and/or anything else that I plug into it. Perfect solution. And B&H IS THE BEST!!!

The unit has a solid, well built feel. The switches are high quality with a positive on-off feel unlike some cheaper models.

Is this a surge protector as well or do you need separate surge protection?

This unit is only a distributor. Here is a similar option which will sequence the power sockets and offer surge protection: B&H # FUM8S.

these do not come with rubber feet, this is designed to be a rack mounted unit. I believe you can get the rubber feet that stick on the bottom at the hardware store though.
