The Baseplate and Top Plate Kit from SHAPE is a lightweight aluminum baseplate for the Sony PXW-FX9 camera that includes a cheese-style top plate, a rear insert plate, and a rosette handgrip.
The baseplate incorporates two ARRI-compatible rosettes for attaching the included handgrip and accessories. The aluminum top plate features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, as well as ARRI-style anti-twist accessory threads to attach a top handle, monitor, or other gear. The rear insert plate helps keep your camera stable when mounted on the baseplate. The front and rear 15mm LWS rod clamps enable you to mount the included 8 and 4" pairs of rods to support accessories in front and in the rear.
The SHAPE Compact Revolt Shoulder Baseplate is a lightweight baseplate suitable for use by neophytes and professionals alike. Made from CNC-machined aluminum, the baseplate is made to withstand the rigors of the production day. The shoulder pad allows it to sit comfortably on your shoulder. The top of the baseplate features two rubber strips to protect your camera. It incorporates two ARRI-compatible rosettes for attaching handle accessories. The top of the baseplate features a 3.5"-long slot that enables adjusting your camera's position for balance adjustments.
Front and rear 15mm LWS rod clamps enable you to mount the included 8 and 4" pairs of rods to support you lens accessories in front, and power/monitoring accessories in the rear. An included 3mm Allen Key allows you to adjust the rod clamps, and the rear rod clamp is removable and attaches to the Revolt Shoulder Baseplate by two M4 screws. On the bottom of the baseplate is a V-lock plate that is compatible with most VCT baseplates. The V-lock plate has both a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole.
The Rear Insert Plate from SHAPE is designed for use with the Sony PXW-FX9 camera to support the rear of the camera when mounted on a baseplate. The plate mounts onto the camera body via two included screws and provides support when the camera is used with a separately available SHAPE baseplate.
The SHAPE Top Plate for Sony FX9 Camera mounts onto the top of your camera without the need to remove the top handle. The Top Plate features numerous 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes along the sides and the top of the plate. The mounting holes feature ARRI anti-twist divots, so you can use ARRI anti-twist compatible accessories, or standard 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded accessories. In addition to the accessory mounting holes, the plate also has mounting holes for the clamp that secure the LCD viewfinder monitor cable, and also a tapped hole for you to attach the sensor plane pin. Made from CNC-machined aluminum, the Top Plate is lightweight yet strong.
The Single Handle with ARRI Rosette from SHAPE features SHAPE's quick-lock button technology. The handle can rotate on a 360° axis. The handle and arm can be rotated by pushing the red button. Once the button is released, the handle is secured firmly in place.
The Quick Handle Rosette features a stainless steel locking mechanism for more durability. Providing a solid grip, the handle fits perfectly on the SHAPE baseplate series, including the BP0001 and BP0007 Quick-Release Baseplates, and the Dovetail System thanks to the precision of the ARRI rosette sockets. The handle is removable with one knob screw. It is constructed from CNC machined, high-quality aircraft grade aluminum parts, which are hard anodized for a resistant finish and assembled with stainless steel screws to prevent rusting.
