RVLVR Wooden Handgrip with Trigger Overview

The Right-Side Remote Clutch Handle with LANC Camera Control from RVLVR puts comfort and camera control at your fingertips. The smooth, ergonomic handgrip is made of solid walnut and durable anodized aluminum, and it mounts onto a cage or rig using its male ARRI-style rosette with M6 screw that allows 360° rotation. The rosette and its mini cage can be unmounted by removing its four 1/4"-20 screws to utilize a grid of eighteen 1/4"-20 threads for other mounting options.

The handgrip features a start/stop button on top, which is compatible with most cameras that use the LANC protocol, such as Z CAM cine cameras. Using the included coiled LANC remote cable, you can connect to the camera and utilize the start/stop button right out of the box, or you can control other LANC-available camera features using the two thumbwheels that rotate and also click to provide additional functions. Available settings can include aperture, shutter, ISO, white balance, and more, depending on which controls your camera supports over the LANC protocol.

The firmware on the handle is upgradeable using its USB Type-C port that can connect to a Windows computer. A RVLVR Windows app is free to download and allows you to update the handle as additional cameras and functions are supported. A coiled LANC cable is included that extends from 7" to a comfortable 20" in length.

Overpriced but a great addition to the Z Cam E2 cameras

There is a lot to love about this handle. Ergonomically it feels great in the hand, looks stylish, and the buttons and dials are in generally good positions. It was a bit tricky getting the software to work to update the handle and program each of the buttons - make sure you use a dedicated USB-C cable, not a USB/Thunderbolt cable. Once you are able to connect the handle to the control software, there is a HUGE range of what you can control and program onto each button. However, I cannot seem to get menu control to work. The Z Cam menu will flash for a split second and then go away. No combination of buttons and mapping seems to work. I'm using the handle with the Z Cam E2 F6 btw. Lastly, it is overpriced. At $350, it should be an official Z Cam product. As a third party product, $150-$200 would be much more reasonable, especially considering there is no built-in LCD screen or visual sort of feedback which would have been a much nicer way to program the buttons without having to connect to a computer. Overall though I still think it's a worthwhile investment for serious Z Cam E2 users (this is also compatible with the other E2 models, not just the F6).

Worked for a couple seconds then never again. Overall kind of a waste of time and money since I ordered 4 more LANC cables and still didn't work. Not sure if its a problem with my E2S6 or the RVLVR Clutch handle. I managed to get camera control working (miracle in itself) from the Ninja V by sending the HDMI feed from E2S6 into a Hollyland Mars 300, then into the Ninja V, otherwise the Ninja would lose signal all the time. USB config worked, so maybe the clutch is fine, not sure. Also the cable isnt a coiled cable as advertised, its a straight cable about 1' long.
