The streaming encoder features two digital SDI inputs with embedded audio, and encodes the input signals into popular file formats such as Adobe Flash, Windows Media, MPEG4, and MPEG2 TS. It features HEVC, MPEG-2, and H.264 video transcoding, and MPEG-1, AAC, and Dolby audio transcoding for high-quality webcasting and live streaming. The unit features two RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports for management, and four for streaming.
The 9100-DeR can encode several streams simultaneously, with each stream configured for a different destination, stream type, and quality. The multi-core processors provide pre-processing features including video monitoring, cropping and rescaling, aspect-ratio conversion, frame-rate conversion, adaptive de-interlacing logo and slate insertion, closed caption, and teletext features. The built-in web browser interface provides easily accessible control of the unit from a network connection that allows you to start and stop streaming. The unit also allows you to monitor its functions and status using SNMP.
Two USB ports enable you to manage the device as well as transfer data. The front of the unit features a stereo headset jack, a video presence meter, and audio level meters to monitor your streams. The 9100-DeR features a redundant dual 280W power supply to provide a backup for power loss.
