Measuring 7.5 x 4.6 x 3.7" and featuring four 2.5" drive bays, the ThunderBay 4 Mini comes with four 2TB solid state drives pre-installed in RAID 5 configuration and transfers data at up to 1346 MB/s real-world speeds.
By using the SoftRAID XT software controller, you can set them up as individual drives or merge them to work with large media files or to store surveillance recordings. Alternatively, the RAID enclosure may be used as a data transport drive, as a backup solution, and more. Its heat-dissipating aluminum enclosure is cooled by a 60mm fan and there are two Thunderbolt 2 ports that allow you to daisy chain up to five additional ThunderBay RAID enclosures. The enclosure supports RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 4, and 5 configurations, and you can swap out the included drives with different 2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. The ThunderBay 4 Mini is compatible with Windows 7 and MacOS 10.12.6 and later.
