The StabiLens Gimbal Ring is the core of the StabiLens counterbalance system. Along with supported StabiLens counterweights and an additional clamp, both sold separately, the ring is designed to let you pre-balance a lens on a motorized handheld gimbal, so you can swap the lens in during a shoot without having to spend time balancing it. This way you can save time as well as be able to jump on an important moment that comes up during a live event or other shoots.

does it add much weight to the end of the lens and is it a problem with a telephoto lens ?
The weights, which are not included STTUNGAK5 / STSTLWT10, weigh 5g to 12g each. The StabiLens system can hold up to 20 of these weights, adding up to 240g (about 8.5 ounces) to your set up. This system should work on almost any lens (58mm to 100mm in diameter), as long as you keep within the weight and size recommendations of your gimbal.
