The Z CAM eND Module for E2 Flagship Series replaces the removable clear-glass module in the camera's PL or EF lens mount and provides an electronically variable ND. The eND module has a minimum setting of 1.7 stops and can provide up to 6.7 stops of exposure adjustment in 1/3 of a stop increments without degrading your image. It provides you with exposure control without requiring you to add ND glass to the front of the lens. As the camera features an IR cut filter in front of the sensor, IR pollution is not an issue, even in the strongest settings.

Z CAM ND101 Reviews
Great for what it is
This works well and works as advertised. Easy to install and take out. I just wish you didn't have to take it out, but that's technology right now. When you can get clear AND eND, without removing the module, it will be perfect.
Seamless
Easy to install and does an excellent job and keeping bright outdoor set under control. Only thing missing is a small case for it to stop when not in use.
Works great with my camera.
As any other Zcam product this ND filter is built like a tank. The installation process needs some care (you can scratch the glass of the filter or the sensor!), but it is relatively straightforward and easy to do. Once installed you can control the ND with any of the Function keys. I use it along a clutch controller and has worked really well. I haven't had a chance to test the quality of the image yet thoroughly but on a quick view, I'm happy with the results. Recommend this for your Zcam cameras.
Great Addition to the Zcam E2
I've been waiting a long time for this upgrade but they would sell out before I could order one. Having to attach a screw-in filter to your lens on location can be a pain. I usually end up finding the filter doesn't fit the lens I am using. With this easy to install variable ND that's no longer a problem. It has many stops, so many I haven't counted them all yet but this beats any filter system I've ever had.
Great for bright days!
Great internal ND fits tightly. Definitely needs a case cover.
Welcome Addition
It's much more convenient than screw-on ND filters, especially if one is changing lenses during a scene. My only suggestions, is to have a 0 setting. When shooting very low light, you have to take it out and put the clear one back in. Not a big hassle, but in the middle of a shoot, any delay, even a few seconds, seems much longer, as we all know.
A must with this camera
Having an internal ND is huge if you're doing any run and gun. It would be nice if it went down to 0, but stops at 1.7. Still a must with this camera.
Excellent internal ND, but...
This module should come standard with all EF and PL mount Zcam bodies. Other cameras (Sony, Blackmagic) offer internal ND as a standard feature. That said, this module works great, especially with the RVLVR clutch handle. 2 things keep this from being a 5 star review: 1) it is 5 stops. It should be at least 7 or 8 stops, and 2) the increments are increment solid stops. I understand if this were actual internal ND filters like on the Sony Venice, but being electronically controlled one would think it could be smooth or programmable transitions, like a variable ND (the Sony FX6 does this). I asked the CEO of Zcam if there would be a future firmware update to address this and he said "no." Still, like the RVLVR clutch, this is an excellent expansion of the Zcam's already excellent performance. Highly recommend it!
