Very well made. Grippy part is very grippy. It does collect dust/lint but it is easily wiped off with a damp cloth. Certainly makes my 90D look more professional, almost like the EOS-1D X from a distance! Also, battery info tab changes to show both batteries-cool. In checking Vello website, they make a lot of nice accessories for any brand camera. Well worth the $80.

I love this accessory for my Canon 90D. It adds double the battery life to the camera which is fantastic. It is such a benefit to have that extra battery power, especially when running and gunning around time. The grip does add some weight to the camera, but it is “good weigh” in my opinion because it makes the camera feel more substantial and also feels better on a tripod. The grip also comes with an optional “sled” that takes AA batteries so you can power the camera with these relatively cheap and easily available batteries if you’d like. Having that option, if you are in a pinch, is a nice addition and adds flexibility as well as peace of mind on a stressful shoot. I also love the way the camera feels in your hand with this additional grip. It just feels good/right and comfortable. The ergonomics it adds is appreciated. And the grip has a non-slip material which adds safety and a peace of mind while using it. I like that too. This grip also has additional button controls and a dial for easy access to common functions of the camera (shutter release and main dial, as well as AF-ON, autofocus, and autoexposure selection). That is very cool and comes in handy more than I thought. The design and layout of this grip is well thought out. The bottom of the grip has a 1/4-20 female slot for quick release plates and also has a hand strap mount. The build quality of this grip is also top notch in my opinion. Seems well-machined and constructed of quality materials. Another added benefit of using this grip is it makes the camera look even more impressive and professional for clients. That might sound silly, but it’s true and is helpful on set by adding to your credibility. The grip matches the camera perfectly, almost as if it comes with it. The camera just looks more expensive with the grip on. I am very happy and impressive with this camera grip, it’s a fantastic and needed accessory for my Canon 90D. It’s working perfectly for me.
