RANE DJ SEVENTY Overview

Building upon the success of the SEVENTY-TWO and with the same quality components, the RANE DJ SEVENTY is a 2-channel, advanced control and performance mixer designed to harness the creative power of Serato DJ Pro software. Redefining the professional club and scratch DJ/turntablist experience, the mixer offers advanced features including a 1.6" OLED display, Flex FX, stackable Serato FX, and eight AKAI Pro MPC multifunction trigger pads per deck. The mixer also includes two dedicated USB ports for connecting a pair of RANE Twelve controllers.

Two DJ's can perform simultaneously via the unit's dual-USB connections. Turntablists can cut, flare, chirp, crab, orbit, and transform, with the latest, tactile and precision based MAG Four faders, which are 50% lighter than its predecessors. Flip between expressive control functions via the 16 MPC-style pads with RGB backlight and multi-performance mode selections. The dedicated loop sections and instant-double buttons provide quick and intuitive access, bringing your performance to the next level.

Additionally, the unit offers full FX control and sonic manipulation utilizing and stacking the SEVENTY's six Flex FX with Serato DJ Pro's extensive and expressive effects banks. The solid steel construction provides strength and durability for the most demanding environments and will stand up to the rigors of on-the-road wear and tear. The RANE DJ SEVENTY ships with a power cord, two Serato NoiseMap control vinyl records, two Serato NoiseMap control CDs, two USB cables, a Serato Pitch 'n Time download card, and a set of Rane stickers.

Solid Previous Gen Performer for the RANE line

The RANE 70 is a solid previous gen mixer. Though it lacks some of the bells & whistles like the OLED screen for your wave forms, this should not deter you at all from putting this on the short list as you will get all that from your software. Pads are extremely responsive. On board effects rival the software effects, but a simple button gives you access to both. Controllers are plug & play & construction is rugged & durable. Example: I run a RANE 12MKII on the right & a Denon LC6000 on the left, & set up couldn't be simpler. Note, the controls for the attack on the sliders are on the front face panel. Do not neglect these if you are a DJ who likes to fade out a track into another, or else the cut will not be natural. ......but if you are scratching, this is where you need to get the precision.

It's dope. Next question. :) No but seriously it's a great 2 chan scratch/performance mixer. I used to be one of those that didn't want to spend the money on such mixers. I bought cheaper mixers for a while and recently realized that has held back my creativity. After watching so many YouTube reviews on mixers I took the plunge a few months back and bought a Serato Mixars mixer. I really liked all the options on the Mixars and it really expanded what I could do without touching my laptop. There were some limits though didn't quite give me all the functions I wanted on the Mixars. I finally decided to upgrade to the Rane Seventy and it's just awesome. You can just about control everything you need on the mixer or midi map custom actions with custom buttons. The paddles are a must have for activating your effects and the option to do multiple effects simultaneously is great. The silent cue feature is also a feature other mixers don't have and helps with your mixes. Overall, spend the money and take your DJing to the next level. You won't regret it. Pros: It's a Rane. Great sound quality Silent Cue feature Hardware and Software effects (Serato effects can be combined) Line faders are smooth and loose for greater creativity and usage Great Crossfader for scratch djs with adjustable tension Too many others to list... Cons: Can be pricey for many (Recommend to get the B&H card and get 0% interest and pay it off over 12 months.)

Hello, Yes, it does. Use this knob to adjust the tension of the Crossfader. Turn the knob to the left to loosen the crossfader for a lighter feel and to the right to tighten the crossfader for a heavier feel.
