Kramer VS-42H2 Reviews
Fast switching, glitch-free, 4K 4:4:4
I have been using this switcher for about 2 months. So far, it has been very reliable, as you'd expect from a Kramer product. This switcher has EDID learning which is very easy to set up (printed instructions are included) and once this is done, switching sources takes only 3 seconds. One of my outputs is connected to a BZBGEXH100C6 extender which also works well. Video comes up at 4K 4:4:4 and doesn't blink (unlike competitor products). Automation is super-easy and many options are provided. In minutes I was able to get my existing scripts to connect to the VS42H2 via Telnet and the connection is not dropped (unlike competitor products that drop or hang after a few hours) so it worked perfectly. Only thing is be sure to buy the VS42H2 not the VS42UHD (which is limited to 4:2:0 if you want 4K60).
