The Spider Light Z Camera Plate from Spider Camera Holster is part of their single and dual holster systems. The pin attaches to the plate, and the plate attaches to the camera's tripod socket. Once assembled, the entire rig slides and locks into the holster. A two-position locking system secures your camera. When placed in the lower position, the camera remains firmly in place in the holster. When placed in the upper position, you can withdraw the camera. The Spider Light Z Camera Plate from Spider Camera Holster is part of their single and dual holster systems. The pin attaches to the plate, and the plate attaches to the camera's tripod socket. Once assembled, the entire rig slides and locks into the holster. A two-position locking system secures your camera. When placed in the lower position, the camera remains firmly in place in the holster. When placed in the upper position, you can withdraw the camera. Photographers will appreciate the secure, anti-twist design, and the plate won't interfere with battery compartment access. For strength and durability, the plate and pin are constructed from stainless steel and hardened aluminum.

    When I bring my Nikon Z5 out on a hike, I'm usually carrying a backpack and pair of binoculars as well, so adding a camera neck or shoulder strap is a recipe for tangled straps and sore shoulders. I've been using a SpiderPro belt to carry my cameras for almost 4 years now and I swear by their system. I'm glad they added Arca-Swiss compatibility to this plate (I also have their DSLR plate for my D750, and I have to mount an addition QR plate to it when I plan to put the camera on a tripod). This version is nicely streamlined on a Nikon Z5/6/7. My only quibble is that the metal knob on the bottom feels a bit awkward when using certain lenses--it just forces me to hold the lens differently than I normally would.

    Hi Karen and thank you - Yes, the Spider Light plate will fit the SONY bodies perfectly. Please remember that you have Arca-Swiss style features in it (if you have that Arca style tripod you can connect directly to the tripod).     Will this work with the Canon R5 with the Canon ...

    Will this work with the Canon R5 with the Canon Grip? And will this plate also accommodate the CR2/AS plate? The Pro plate does not fit the Canon R5 Grip.

    Thank you Chris - as per below stated, The Spider plates will not work well on this particualr R5 battery grip design. We are in process of making mold changes to the Pro plate to accommodate, but this will indeed take time. An immediate solution would be mating your grip with an L bracket (there are several comanies who make them now specifically for the R5 grip shape). The SpiderPro Clamp v2 will attach to any Arca-Swiss Style bracket and can be removed quickly when you need to use an Arca-Swiss style tripod. You will also be able to attach any tripod QR plate on top of our SpiderPro Clamp as it features an extra 14/20" thread in it.     I have Spider belt-mounted DSLR holster system (not v2) for years. I upgraded to Canon R5 now. Will this mirrorless holster plate works with R5 and my existing belt?

    This one was designed for Nikon Z cameras. You may want to get the Spider Camera Holster Plate With Pin for SpiderLight Holster as it was designed for general mirrorless cameras.     Apologies for the delay Mark.. The Mirrorless plates are designed so they do not block the Mirrorless bodie's battery door(s). You CAN use the cameras on both sides - the camera on the left side will situate differently/at an angle and you may have to lock that left holster just to be safer, but the plate will work on the left side. Since you have the dual system, I would always carry the camera+long lens rig with the Spider Lens Collar Plate, so you could carry either left or right side:-).
