SHAPE C52TP Overview

Protect your camera from the stress of added accessories with the SHAPE Top Plate for Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III. This lightweight yet robust CNC-machined aluminum top plate is designed to fit on your Canon EOS C500 Mark II or Canon C300 Mark III.

Machined with several 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with ARRI anti-twist divots which can be used to attach accessories to your camera without stressing its body. It also includes a removable 15mm rod clamp arrangement and two 4" long 15mm support rods for attaching rod-mounted accessories to your Canon camera.

Provides numerous 1/4"-20 threaded accessory mounting points, both with and without ARRI-compatible anti-twist divots
Provides two 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes with ARRI-compatible anti-twist divots

I have had Shape products for years now. Very nicely designed top plate for the C300 Mark iii, I use it on every shoot and I'm planning to equip my other mark iiis with it very soon. It has everything I need on it, threaded holes of various sizes, anti-rotating for ARRI products, and a nice rod holder at the front. Very sturdy too. Great product!

I called SHAPE before the purchase and talked with their technician Nico. He told me that the modifications have been made to the product. So I made the purchase, and am now super happy with the product. It works perfect with my C500 MK II. I highly recommend it.

Are the side parts of the cage system required to ...

Are the side parts of the cage system required to use this top plate, or does the top plate mount to the camera? I wish to use the top plate, handle and monitor mount without the rest of the cage components.

You can use the SHAPE Top Plate for Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III as a stand alone item. It does not require other parts to mount to your camera. Part number for the Shape top handle is B&H # SHLPHT

Yes, the SHAPE Top Plate for Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III can accommodate the Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III handles.

Will this plate allow room for the Canon EVF-V50 viewfinder?

The Canon EVF-V50 should not interfere with the SHAPE Top Plate for Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III.
