Would this allow you to use aputure spotlight attachments on profits heads?

You could use the HIVE LIGHTING Profoto to Bowens Adapter to use Bowen mount adapters on Profoto lights. But note the Aputure spot attachment is designed best for led lights. And depending on the Profoto light the modeling light could be too hot.

Does this let you to slide the head freely through the adapter? I have 1 that stops the head well short of the bowens opening.

No, the HIVE LIGHTING Profoto to Bowens Adapter is the opposite. It makes lights with the standard Profoto connection work with Bowens mount modifiers.

Will this work with Profoto B10x as it is shorter?

Yes, the HIVE LIGHTING Profoto to Bowens Adapter is compatible with the Profoto B10x. However, it is not ideal because of the B10x's shorter head. The adapter could work well when using 7" honeycomb grids or snoots, but it may not distribute the light inside of a softbox in the most ideal way.

Would this also work with the Profoto A10 speedlite? Can't justify spending $600+ on a octane soft box that doesn't open quickly or easily, when I already have a Bowens mount one that takes 2 seconds to set up.
