The 32" Halo Compact Difflector, Soft Silver from Manfrotto was created for image makers who want to travel light while taking full advantage of ambient light or minimal lighting gear to produce polished work. Able to set up in seconds, the Halo is built around a collapsible, rigid metal frame, to which the patent-protected Difflector fabric is attached. The unique Difflector fabric combines standard diffusion material with a silver stripe, allowing light to pass through like a diffuser on one side, but reflect light off the silver stripes on the other side - making it a unique, dual-purpose diffuser and reflector panel in one.

Is it bad for this reflector or its shock cord to be stored long-term in its assembled form?
The Manfrotto Halo Compact Difflector, Soft Silver (32") should be stored in collapsed form in its storage bag; however, if you store it open and flat, it shouldn't harm it. If it's stored upright, the frame could become warped over time.
