It's a lens cap. Works as it should, but it has the same shortcomings as my OEM cap, so I'll probably lose it eventually as I did the original.

Main reason for purchase was according to the product illustration it seemed a deeper area to pinch the inside sides. It doesn't seem to be ,but very close. The original Nikon lens cap is better.
