This has a 5 VDC USB port and provides 8 VDC power output 7.4 VDC battery. It requires a 2-amp source to function properly.

Can this be used to power a Canon XF400? The CA-946 output is 8.4v. If not, is there a similar usb adapter that would work?

This will not power and XF400. We are not aware of any USB power options that will.
