Yes, you can connect this device to a 2013 MacPro with a Thunderbolt 2 adapter. Per Avid, you would require the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter, B&H # APMMEL2AMA, a power cable for the HDX card B&H # SOTCBHDXB, and they recommend using this Thunderbolt cable B&H # SOTCBTB307M. Please also note, the Pro Tools HDX card is sold separately.
