Save money and setup time with this preconfigured Avid Pro Tools | HDX Thunderbolt 3 HD Omni Rackmount Bundle that's ready to go right out of the box. Featuring a Pro Tools | HDX Thunderbolt 3 Rackmount Chassis, Pro Tools | HD Omni Interface, Pro Tools | HDX PCIe Core Card, and Pro Tools | Ultimate Perpetual License, this self-contained bundle offers a portable, rackmountable solution for taking your Pro Tools | HDX system anywhere—doing so in a footprint no larger than 2 RU.
The HDX PCIe card utilizes Avid's Hybrid Engine technology, which enables your CPU to handle all processing, voice count, and mixing—ideal for recording and mixing the biggest sessions smoothly with tons of plug-ins running. When you need to supplement your CPU power, the Hybrid Engine gives you on-demand access to the ultralow latency capabilities of HDX (0.7 ms). Simply put a track in DSP Mode to offload its entire signal chain and AAX DSP-compatible plug-ins to HDX. You can toggle back to native processing at the touch of a button, so you can move seamlessly between tracking and mixing without the hassle of latency. The Hybrid Engine also enables a massive 2048 simultaneous voices at all sample rates for any HDX system.
The Pro Tools | HDX Thunderbolt 3 Rackmount Chassis houses a single HDX PCIe card in a 1 RU form factor for portability. It enables you to connect your MTRX Studio to your Thunderbolt-equipped Mac or Windows computer, allowing you to use Avid's industry-standard DSP-accelerated system with computers that lack a PCIe slot. Plus, there's room for a Mac Mini inside as well.
The HD Omni Interface is an all-in-one preamp, I/O, and monitoring interface that enables you to capture every detail and nuance of a performance. Capture high-resolution audio through two premium mic preamps. Connect gear to a wide array of analog and digital I/O. The unit also enables you to mix and monitor sessions in up to 7.1 surround—all from a compact interface that takes up just a single rack space.
Pro Tools | Ultimate is the go-to audio-production software for songwriters, musicians, producers, and engineers working in the most demanding production environments in the music, film, and TV industry. It offers up to 192 HDX channels of I/Os, 2048 (mono/stereo) audio tracks, 512 instrument tracks, 1024 MIDI tracks, 64 mono/stereo video tracks, and 55 virtual instruments, effects, and sound-processor plug-ins. This Perpetual license also comes with a 1-year updates and ExpertPlus support plan, 1-year access to 9 virtual instruments including UVI Falcon, EQ and dynamics plug-ins, reverb and delay plug-ins, modulation and effects plug-ins, classic stompbox guitar effects plug-ins, and various utility plug-ins—over 115 plug-ins in total. Automatic delay compensation corrects for delays incurred by plug-ins and mixer routing as well as side chains.
The software runs on Intel-based Windows and Mac computers as well as on M1-based Mac computers.
As the hub of any music studio, the HD OMNI digital audio interface from Avid can be used to record high-quality instrument and vocal performances, while providing dedicated cue mixes for artists, monitoring their performance through a discrete mix. No need for multiple interfaces. Everything can be done within the single-space rack HD OMNI.
Overdub and foley recording capabilities are available for post production, in addition to the ability to create monitor mixes with up to 7.1 channels. Furthermore, the user can fold down mixes from 7.1 to almost any channel configuration subset required.
The interface features premium analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters that deliver high audio fidelity, extensive dynamic range, super-low jitter, and the lowest possible latency. Built-in sample-rate conversion and a soft-clip feature allow for worry-free performances, while Curv, a built-in soft-knee limiter catches even the fastest transients.
For those occasions when the Pro Tools software doesn't need to be launched, or when you do not want to turn on the computer, the interface features as a built-in, customizable, 14-input monitor mixer, allowing for the continued monitoring of external sources, such as keyboards, drum machines, and digital music players, independently from the recording setup.
The interface provides maximum performance, dependability, and control of all inputs, outputs, and routing, right from the Pro Tools software interface. The interface and Pro Tools HD hardware will function with other DAW software via full support of Core Audio and ASIO drivers.
