iOptron AccuAlign Dark-Field Illuminated Polar Scope Kit for GEM45 Mounts

The iOptron AccuAlign Dark-Field Illuminated Polar Scope Kit is specifically designed for installation on their GEM45 and GEM45EC mounts and helps you quickly and accurately equatorially align your mount. Proper polar alignment is an important step to ensure precise GoTo performance and accurate tracking during long observation or astrophotography sessions. Two sets of three concentric circles are clearly marked for aligning the mount on Polaris in the Northern Hemisphere or Sigma Octantis in the Southern, so it will precisely track across the declination axis. To make it easier to see the setting circles in the dark, iOptron provides an illuminating LED that gets inserted into the side of the AccuAlign body and the accompanying cable plugs into one of the accessory power ports on the mount.
