ZEISS Terra ED 10x25 Overview

Sleek and stylish with black body and black accents, ZEISS's 10x25 Terra ED Compact Binoculars give you a competent and compact optic that fits easily in the palm of your hand and looks good while they are there. A combination of technologies works together to produce bright and clear images with increased contrast and true color rendition. The Terra ED is offered here in a 10x power, which walks the delicate line between an increased viewing distance over lower magnification optics while maintaining a useful field of view.

The lightweight housing is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed, enabling them to withstand use in wet and snowy weather, and the rubberized armor offers protection from impacts while providing a slip-resistant grip. The Terra's double-hinge closed-bridge design allows them to fold compactly for an easy fit in most pockets or packs, while the knurled center focus wheel enables fast focusing. Twist-up eyecups make them comfortable to use with or without eyewear.

Why did the Terra ED Pocket 10 x 25 come without ...

Why did the Terra ED Pocket 10 x 25 come without protective lens caps ?
Asked by: Mark
They’re super small, I carry them In the cloth pouch they come with about 200 days per year, morning hikes with the dogs, and the lenses are always crystal clear. They don’t need lens covers or protection because the openings are so much smaller ie, 25mm vs. 40mm…. I looked for a hard case and lens caps for the first 18months I owned them but realized after using them everyday over that period they don’t need caps or a case, it would make them bulky and harder to access, carry and use. I think lens caps/covers would defeat their purpose, they’re designed to fit in your pocket and go, they’re lightweight, easily accessible, and durable adding caps would complicate what makes them so special…

question

How does this compare to the Nikon Travelite 12x25 which is much less expensive?
Asked by: Susan F.
I have the Terra 8x25 and agree with the others. Anything over 8x on compacts has too much shake. Everyone who has looked through the Terra ED is amazed at the clarity. I am very happy with them.
