I bought this clamp to hold my usb battery pack. It almost didn't fit. They didn't say the max opening and I battery pack is actually larger than the clamp, so I removed one of the clamps pads and it's snug as a bug. Not I can clamp it anywhere. Want. I normally use my Tasman recorder for audio and the internal batteries don't last long. These days an pack work perfectly and last all day running the recorder.
