The Replacement Lens Foot for Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM from Kirk bolts directly into the lens collar mount and locks into place by tightening the bolt with the included T-hex wrench. The lens foot is compatible with most Arca-type clamps and heads. The double-dovetail design allows other Arca-type accessories to attach to the bottom or the top of the foot, and the 6061-T6 aluminum foot has a black anodized finish, which makes it resistant against scratches and corrosion. In addition, safety stops located on the bottom of the foot prevent the lens from accidentally being pulled out when the clamp is partially open.

Kirk LP-61 Reviews
Kirk Lens Collar Replacement Foot
My immediate reaction to this when removing from the packaging was Wow, this thing is a beast. The quality and beefiness of construction is evident, and it mounts to the lens collar securely. This purchase was to achieve a more secure camera lens mount to a tripod or monopod with a clamping style head. It eliminates an additional element in the mounting of the lens foot to a gimbal, tilt head or some other such device. It's rock solid and eliminates the worry of only a single screw attachment to a dovetail plate when using the original supplied lens collar foot. When you're in the field the last thing you want to worry about is a weak attachment point. This thing eliminates any such worry.
great replacement foot
great replacement foot to use on a gimbal or other stile tripod head. that uses dovetail style plate.
