Meprolight built the 1x33 RDS Pro v2 Reflex Sight for both-eyes-open shooting styles with fast target acquisition and tracking at close to medium ranges.
Its unmagnified 1x power, large 33x22mm anti-reflection coated window, clear and simple red bull's-eye reticle with 16 brightness levels, and uncomplicated user interface make it perfect as a stand-alone CQB aiming aid or for stacking with other optics such as NVDs and magnifiers. Control of the reticle is done with a simple rotary switch and integrated push button with a manual off. You can also choose an auto setting that utilizes a motion sensor that puts the sight to sleep if it detects prolonged inactivity to conserve battery power and will wake the sight up when motion is detected for fast reaction when needed.
Made of a lightweight and durable aluminum housing, the sight is waterproof to a depth of 66 feet (20m) and can handle the repeated recoil of heavy use. Low-profile windage and elevation adjustment dials reduce snag hazards, and an integrated dual lever quick release Picatinny rail mount allows you to easily install and remove the sight without having to re-zero. For added convenience, the RDS runs on a single easy-to-find alkaline or lithium AA battery.
