FastRawViewer Monochrome2DNG (Download)

Dedicated to cameras featuring monochrome sensors, including those with sensors converted to monochrome, Monochrome2DNG, from FastRawViewer, is a utility application to take the camera's raw data and directly saves it as a true monochrome DNG file. This process avoids the unnecessary demosaicing process associated with color image processing in order to achieve greater resolution and avoid certain artifacts. Monochrome2DNG supports automatic mosaic pattern suppression, so output files will not have 1-pixel grid patterns, and an automatic monochrome recognition feature can be turned on to convert only files from monochrome cameras, as well as enable easier batch processing from libraries containing both color and monochrome images. Input files can also be filtered by camera brand and model and several formats for DNG output are supported for greater file-saving flexibility.
