The CRANE 3S PRO from Zhiyun-Tech is a powerful redesign of previous Zhiyun gimbals with the addition of detachable handle options, a large 14.3 lb payload, an updated axis-locking system, external power input, and the ViaTouch 2.0 motion control system. The CRANE 3S PRO also features numerous advanced features such as wireless video transmission, professional zoom and focus controllers, and an external battery option. It can also accommodate a wide range of camera sizes by utilizing a separately available extension module to extend the horizontal arm, which is now positioned at a 55° angle. The gimbal can stabilize camera loads up to 14.3 lb.
The 3S PRO has two options for the detachable, angled handle. The included SmartSling handle offers an ergonomic handle with an integrated joystick and control buttons, and the optional EasySling handle provides a simple, comfortable handgrip without controls. The handle enables you to seamlessly switch to underslung mode, whether with one or two hands, and achieve creative shots such as 330° roll shots as you move closer toward a subject. All the controls you need are provided at your fingertips at the top of the main handle along with an OLED status screen. The free Zhiyun iOS/Android app provides many of the same control functions as well as special features such as panorama, focus time-lapse, motion time-lapse, long exposure time-lapse, camera settings, and more.
You can power the 3S PRO using an internal battery, but if you need extra shooting time a DC port allows you to plug in the included Transmount PowerPlus battery pack that contains six 18650 batteries. The CRANE 3S PRO can be controlled using the updated ViaTouch 2.0 iOS or Android smartphone app via Bluetooth 5.0 for remote motion control and to manage the gimbal settings. Also included with the 3S PRO is the Transmount Image Transmission System transmitter, which allows you to connect your camera, mount the transmitter on the gimbal, and transmit your live camera view to a separately available Transmount receiver.
Nine accessory mounting threads are available around the gimbal to add a variety of Transmount or third-party accessories. Another major feature of the gimbal is a redesigned axis latch lock system consisting of a separate latch lock on each axis that provides solid locking in place without excess sway. This feature allows you to lock the individual axes to remember your balance positions when powering the gimbal off so you won't have to rebalance for each use. A smartphone clamp is also included with the 3S PRO so you can keep your smartphone secure while managing the gimbal movement.

Zhiyun-Tech Crane 3S PRO Reviews
Gave it a year...what a disappointment
I used the Ronin 1, and before that, several Steadicam models. This absolutely refuses to balance, and the shots are wobbly or have severe vibration. I watched Zhiyun's setup videos to make sure I wasn't making a dumb error, and did exactly what they did. Got a Ronin RS 2 to replace it, and using that thing is a dream compared to this. I think Zhiyun has quality control issues, because these reviews are so polarized, it has to be variations in manufacturing that make some units terrible and others perfectly fine.
Very Happy
Put my BlackMagic 6K Pro with a 17 - 40 MM zoom lens and extra battery it did very well on a raft trip down the Colorado River, my only problem was if I needed to pan up over 60 degrees then it would lose it, I think as I use it more I will be able to figure it out better, the up and down balance was correct ur as the angle increased the balance shifted to much, removing the extra battery's there was no problem. All and all it performs well on the river I also had a 2TB hard drive on the rig. I placed a order for the Crane 3S but was to of stock so reordered the 6K Pro and glad I did all the extras make it a joy to operate.
Bum Rap
I purchased this gimbal because of the weight it can endure, admittedly I was very nervous because of all of the bad reviews. However, I also sow many youtube reviews and tutorials praising it, so I decided to take a chance. I LOVE THIS STABILIZER. It took me about two days of experimenting, failing, and watching more tutorials, but it was worth it. So far, it operates terrifically. Installing (or installing ) the extension arm is a pain, and could have been better designed, but it works as advertised in my opinion. I've used it on a a Sony a7II with a camera cage and a Sony FX6 (totally stripped down). It definitely has a learning curve, but it's a solid piece of gear and I'm glad I bought it.
Morning American
Good morning
Some things not working, and TERRIBLE customer service
Follow focus inoperable, smoke came out of the battery pack, and since it was 'too late' to return B&H tossed me to the ZHIYUN who won't even address the issues without a video... like I need a video to simply tell them the follow focus doesnt' work and the batterty is wack. Not to mention I can hardly understand their communications. This is probably a great gimbal when it works.... balancing is still difficult.., but if you have problems get ready for the run around.
Estabilizador perfecto
Luego de experimentar con otros estabilizadores finalmente encontr la solucin para mis caars de gran tamao como Ursa G2 y otras. Muy recomendado por lo sencillo de utilizar.
Frustrating and Disappointing
This is one of the most disappointing and frustrating products I've purchased as a cinematographer. It is buggy, unintuitive, and always manages to fail when you need it most. I use this with my Canon C70 and have issues with shaking/trembling during shots even with proper balancing. The focus motors sometimes work and sometimes don't. The focus knob is in a really inconvenient location where you can't naturally turn it while having two hands on the gimbal. It's also really bulky and heavy and hard to manage for long shots. Overall, this piece of equipment is a headache. Going to try out the DJI RS 2.
Amazing unit
This gimbal is amazing by all means. I had to search all over the net to find out if it handles the Blackmagic 6K Pro on a Rig! And I can confirm that it works just fine. After Balancing the camera mounted in the small rig cage with all the accessories it handled it so well. No shacking or vibrations. I love the Mobile app camera control and viewing of your live feed. Great price and great service from B&H.
