Shure BLX88 Overview

The Shure BLX88 is a dual-channel tabletop wireless receiver compatible with two BLX1 bodypack or BLX2 handheld transmitters. Compact and lightweight, it houses internal antennas, and is ideal for portable use.

The BLX88 features one-touch QuickScan frequency selection to quickly search 123 available frequencies and locate a clean RF channel in case of interference. It employs microprocessor-controlled diversity technology to reduce dropouts. BLX systems allow up to 12 mic channels to operate simultaneously in each frequency band, at a range up to 300'.

Located on the front panel, two LED displays show the RF frequency groups and channels, while four LED status indicators inform you when the system is ready to operate and alert you if your audio is clipping. The receiver offers two 1/4" and two XLR outputs for connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

We needed to replace our system that was in the FCC prohibited frequency. This was plug and play. We looked at other options, but stayed with the quality of Shure.

Just what I needed

Which Shure Plug-On XLR transmitter would work well with this receiver?
Asked by: Anonymous
Shure does not make a BLX series plug-on transmitter that is compatible with the Shure BLX88 Dual-Channel Tabletop Wireless Receiver (H10: 542 to 572 MHz). For a system that can be used with a plug-on transmitter, you would need to move up to the SLX-D series. Please note that SLX-D and BLX series transmitter and receiver components are not compatible for use together.

question

does it include two wireless lapel microphones?
Asked by: Rob J.
No, this listing is for the dual-channel receiver only. If you are looking to purchase a complete dual lavalier wireless system, I would recommend the BLX188/CVL. http://www.shure.com/americas/products/wireless-systems/blx-wireless-systems
