PortaBrace RAIN-PONCHO Reviews

Best accessory I own!

I had two shoots in the rain recently- one with this poncho (not good) and one with it (good). It kept me and my mixer dry, it was easy to put on and take off, and it felt kind of like a big jacket, much better than I expected. Folds up pretty small so easy to bring with me for future work.

Does the hole in front good for front-mounted steadicam system?

Asked by: Tsung Hsuan

The Porta Brace Waterproof Poncho Cover does not have a hole in the front. The Poncho Cover is designed to fully cover your equipment and keep it dry while providing a clear vinyl window in the front that allows you to see the controls on your audio gear or video monitor.

Does the clear vinyl window fog up in humid conditions or stay clear at all times?

Asked by: Andrew

It is possible that the clear vinyl window on the PortaBrace Waterproof Poncho Cover could fog up in very humid conditions. To prevent this, you could use an anti-fog treatment on the inside of the clear vinyl window, such as an anti-fog wipe used for ski googles.
