will this let me connect stereo mini headphones ...
will this let me connect stereo mini headphones to optical audio output. If not, which device will let me do that?
In case anyone else is wondering whether they can connect headphones to this, please refer to:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_level#Line_out
Gist is that LINE OUT is NOT meant to drive headphones. Even if you use a passive physical adapter that has connectors that fit, you can damage the DAC and will almost certainly not get the volume and sound quality you desire. To drive headphones you need a different DAC with an integrated headphone amplifier (which will have a headphone jack and volume knob) OR a separate headphone amplifier that takes LINE IN and has a headphone jack and volume knob. I'm incredulous that the other two answers don't advise using this product alone to drive headphones. :-|
