I needed a different hook for my tripod to hang my bbag from while shooting also this holds my tripod in place, love it!
Problem with B&H's representation of compatibility.

I bought the HK-01 based on representation by B&H that it was compatible with Leofoto Ranger LS tripods. However, I found that it is not compatible with my Leofoto Ranger LS-324CEX tripod because it has a built-in leveling base. It took finding a review elsewhere to discover the problem. So I'm returning it to get less than half of my $ back - good thing it's cheap! It may be a good product, but not as represented to me by B&H.
