Impact SF-ABRL180 Reviews

Great Kit for a Nice Price!

Great lighting kit for a super low price. B&H delivered quickly and safely as usual. The stands are durable, especially the heavy duty boom stand. The large softboxes allow big coverage. This kit is suitable for both tabletop and small studio (portrait) work. Durable lights with enough power without going overboard. This high quality kit replaces a low cost kit I purchased with satisfaction on eBay a few years ago, yet performs better, and with greater consistency at the same price point. Sweet. TT

Combined with Impact 7' parabollic, no light modifier, I thought it was great. Lit up everything nicely with what looked to me to be a good shadow fall off and nice eye high lights. Great combination that I'm glad I bought.

Is this strictly 110v only or can this be used in Europe as well (220v)?
Asked by: Levan
The Impact 180Ws Monolight Starter Flash listed above is designed for use on 110 VAC / 60 Hz AC power outlets. It is not designed for use on 220/240V AC power outlets and is not a multi-voltage light fixture. If you are looking for a multi-voltage monolight, the Raya SDR-400 Alpha Monolight, B&H # RASDR400, or the Jinbei DM-3 300Ws Portable Studio Monolight, B&H # JI101011306, would be compatible for use on 220/240V AC power outlets.

How would I connect these lights to a Nikon Z? Also, could they fire from the Nikon flash I have? I am trying to find options.
Asked by: Francesca B.
OR you may fire using your on-camera Nikon flash as a trigger (set to a lower power), and the Optical Receiver Built-In (slave) on the Monolight would flash in sync with the firing of the camera/flash. OR you could use a hot-shoe pc sync adapter, then fire via wired method. https://www.nikonusa.com/p/as-15-sync-terminal-adapter-%28hot-shoe-to-pc%29/3066/overview#compatible-with

How does it synch to a camera? Will it synch to other flashes such as Yongnuo?
Asked by: James
If you have a DSLR with no PC connection, buy an adapter that goes into your hot shoe with a PC terminal and use the sync cord that comes with the unit. Also, you can use the mono-light as a slave that's triggered from another flash going off.
