Its single Cree XHP35 HI NW LED is driven by an integrated rechargeable battery pack that outputs a darkness-piercing 2100 lumens in Turbo mode that steps down to 1000 lumens after 5 minutes. For tasks like reading or checking IDs, it has a low output of just 15 lumens. Intermediate outputs of 150 and 600 lumens allow you to tailor the amount of light to any given situation. Dual push buttons—one on the tailcap and one on the handle—provide access to the outputs. The battery is charged in the Javelot handle using Olight's magnetic charging system, which eliminates integrated charging ports that tend to be a point of failure for the waterproofing.
The housing is made of lightweight and durable 6061-T6 aluminum alloy that is treated with a scratch-resistant anodized finish. Olight designed the handle to fit in the hand comfortably and carved a deep texture into it to ensure a solid and secure grip even in cold and wet conditions. Measuring under 10" long and weighing well under a pound, the Javelot is the ideal primary light for duty and recreation. To make it easy to carry, Olight includes a belt holster for it.
