The housing is made of a lightweight and durable 6061-T6 aluminum alloy that is treated with a black scratch-resistant Type III hard-anodized finish. The housing is further sealed to an IPX8 rating and is drop resistant to almost 5 feet, so it will continue to work if it (or you) take a fall in a puddle or stream.
