Meike MK-CINECASE Reviews

Seems to do the job

The laser cut is nice and holds the lenses firmly. Mine came without a top layer with finger notches which I think is a factory error(possibly due to extreme lock down issues with Covid) as they were not going to be available(not just out of stock) and then suddenly were available. I am housing a Meike 8mm cine lens which has a wider diameter than the t2.2 range of lenses so it may be better this way. The plastic seems a little thin but sturdy enough.

Great case!

Does this case accommodate the Meike 135mm EF Mount lens? The EF version seems 'taller' than the case.
Asked by: Randy
The Meike Hard 6-Lens Case for T2.2 Cine Lenses would not be compatible with the Meike 135mm T2.4 FF-Prime Cine Lens (EF Mount). A compatible case would be the Meike 8-Lens Case for FF-Prime Cine Lenses, BH #MEMKT21FF8.

Will this case fit the new Meike Mini Prime RF mount lenses? Those seem to be very similar in length and dimension to the MFT Meike lenses this case was originally designed for.

Since the dimensions of the lenses you mentioned have not been provided by Meike we can not say if the Meike Hard 6-Lens Case for T2.2 Cine Lenses will fit the RF version of the lenses from Meike.

how soft is the foam?

how soft is the foam?
Asked by: joseph
The Meike Hard 6-Lens Case for T2.2 Cine Lenses (B&H# MEMKCINECASE) features cut-outs of stiff foam that are specifically designed to fit the 12, 16, 25, 35, and 50mm T2.2 cine lenses from Meike. While universal lens holder cases often feature softer foam to conform to the shapes of a variety of lenses, those with custom-cut foam (such as this one) are stiffer because they fit the lenses precisely and as such offer better protection. If you are intending to use this case for alternative lenses (i.e., not the aforementioned Meike cine ones) then you may want to use additional material to keep them from jiggling around such as neoprene sleeves or a wrap such as Ruggard 15 x 15" Padded Equipment Wrap (Black) (B&H# RUGW15B), but the choice of the right such additional sleeve or wrap will depend on the lens you're using and how closely it matches the cut-outs in the Meike case.

Is there a case that accommodates the S35 PL lenses ?

There is not a dedicated lens case for the Meike PL lenses. I would recommend getting a hard case with the pick-and-pluck foam. Here is one I like to recommend: https://tinyurl.com/ycykr2eu
