Designed for Godox monolights as well as flash heads from manufacturers that feature a Bowens mount, this RFT-14 Standard 7.1" Reflector has a 60° beam spread for distributing light generated by a compatible strobe, LED, or fluorescent light head. This aluminum reflector has a silver interior and accepts select grids, barndoors, and other reflector accessories. This reflector does not have a cutout for an umbrella shaft.

Godox 7.1" Reflector Overview

Designed for Godox monolights as well as flash heads from manufacturers that feature a Bowens mount, this RFT-14 Standard 7.1" Reflector has a 60° beam spread for distributing light generated by a compatible strobe, LED, or fluorescent light head. This aluminum reflector has a silver interior and accepts select grids, barndoors, and other reflector accessories. This reflector does not have a cutout for an umbrella shaft.

NOTE: Not compatible with the C-02 7" Honeycomb Grid.

Efficient – ideal with diffuser sock

Bought these to replace the original and smaller reflector that came with the Amaran 60X light. This reflector gives a much more even light with more spread, while still maintaining a solid output. I use this with the Impact 7 Diffuser Sock while travelling light, and get great results – as shown in this example shot from a video interview.

Does the Godox barndoor kit for 7-inch reflectors fit this "7.1-inch" reflector?

I contacted Godox concerning your inquiry. According to the manufacturer, due to the design of the Godox 7.1" Reflector (B&H # GORFT14), no, the the Godox Barndoor Kit (B&H # GOBD04) would not be compatible for use with the Godox 7.1" Reflector.

Will Profoto grids fit properly in this reflector? i.e a proper fit, not loose, not tight.

You can fit a 7" grid from most brands into the Godox RFT-14 Standard 7.1" Reflector with Bowens Mount BH #GORFT14. Most grids have a metal tab that can be bent to make up for slight size variations.

Yes, if you purchase the Godox S2 Speedlite Bracket for Bowens, B&H # GOS2, you would then be able to use the Godox 7.1" Reflector with the Godox AD300pro Outdoor Flash.

Is there a significant hotspot when using this reflector?

You will get a fairly even light in the 60 degree beam this reflector projects. The light will be specular, hard and directional and outside of the beam angle it will fall off fairly quick. If you want a softer light you can use diffusion. The larger the source the softer the light. If you want a tighter beam with a more dramatic fall off you can use 7" grids.
