The Cello² really comes into its own when combined with the remarkably powerful yet simple-to-use Composer app. With built-in Bluetooth 5, you can control the fixture from up to 100' away with the same quick response you get from the LCD screen. A newly designed power system lets you power through lengthy shoots and live streams on DC power as well as charge a battery while plugged in via the DC or USB-C port. While the fixture is compact enough to fit atop a camera or camcorder using the included ball head adapter, it can also be mounted on light stands for creative, off-camera lighting scenarios.

Luxli Cello RGB LED Light Reviews
Really Good Product!
I love it. This is my on-camera video light. I can dial in my color and brightness. Works Great. I want to buy another one so that I have a spare.
My favorite eyelight
The new model with barn doors and mag attach diffuser has taken care of any issues that I had with the prior release. I normally carry one each of a variety of instruments for doing location lighting. I take three of these. Softer and more powerful than you would expect with a comprehensive control system that is on a very functional Bluetooth app.
Powerful small form factor light with loads of features!
I've been using their originalI purchased the original Cello several ago when it was first released and after years of beating it up in my bag and on the road it still works as well as it did on day one. As a professional filmmaker and Sony Artisan of imagery I love having it tucked away in my bag taking up so little space but there when I need light in a hurry. The new V2 has a greatly improved accessory attachment system (magnetic) and makes popping a diffuser on and off so much easier as well as barn doors to help shape the light. It's visibly brighter that the V1 and I appreciate having a usb-c port on it instead of the older style. All in all it's a beefy upgrade that's definitly worth taking a look at. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.] Cello for years (since it's release)
Amazing light needs better build quality and more modifiers
It's an amazing lighting unit, very powerful and very capable, and color accurate, but I wish a butter build quality and more threading points, and unfortunately there are only a couple of modifiers available for it and no third party available
I like this light A lot!
I have been using two of the Cellos pretty heavily for a few years now and they have been very good. I bought one of the new ones and I think that they have addressed some of the issues that were bothering me. One was the overheating when using the rubber mounted diffuser after a half hour or so it would cut out (hitting 183). I popped the barndoors and diffuser on and an hour later it was only at 138. Speaking of the barn doors, I am happy with the way they work and construction quality. If they aren't long enough in any application at least there is something to pin black wrap or diffusion onto. The low profile knobs are welcome as they have been an issue when packing them (managed to break one of my old diffusers.) I am fond of the Luxli App, it's quick and consistent across the whole line, great when using this light as a backlight!
The future is here.
Fast delivery to Australia. This light and App is faultless in design and quality. It is the future of filmmaking.
A nice update form the original!
Having owned three of the original cello's I can say that there are some vast improvements. Starting with the addition of the USB Type-C power. Not only do you have the ability to run off a power bank, but it will also charge the included Sony NPF as well, whilst running. A feature so needed, as the original Cello's battery only lasted for about 40 minutes. The USB and battery are also hot swappable , for those times when your battery is running low and you are in the middle of a shot. The lengthy cable is also a welcomed addition. Made of mostly plastic, this light is still pretty strong and light weight. A bit lighter then it's predecessor. Yet it still has the same form factor as the original and is able to share the new accessories. And speaking of the Accessories, the new magnetic diffusion and grid work not only for the Cello 2 but for the original as well giving you more chose when buying a Cello. Whether you have the original or the new one, they will work across the Cello platform. The Addition of barn doors is also a welcome accessory. However, there is quite a bit of banding when using the bare light and the barn doors. This is really the only negative I could find. However, you can use the magnetic diffusion or some diffusion paper to quell this problem. Back are all the great things about this light that made me invest in a kid in the first place. This time out, it has even better color rendition and color matching capabilities , due to the new 5-dye RGB A/W LEDs. The Cello 2 has all your favorite modes including some of the best FX on a small light that I have eve seen. The Fire setting are fantastic, in particular. So if you are looking to invest in a light such as this, you can't go wrong with either the Cello or the Cello 2. If you are already a user, then adding the new accessories is a good way to save some dough. But if this is your first Luxli product, the added USB Type-C, color accuracy and brightness are all worth it. Included is a link to my video on YouTube where i go more in-depth on the Cello 2. Still the best for travel, but not perfect
Nothing beats this light for travel. Trust me, I'm on a plane every week with a full portable studio in a suitcase, and I've tried EVERYTHING. Yes it is pricey, but after buying much larger lights and getting simply good performance, I bit the bullet and bought two of these. That said, why not perfect? Well, like its predecessor, I do wish it wouldn't make crackling noises when it heats up. It's the price we pay for so much power in such a small package, and yet, I'm willing to ignore it given how I can carry two of these in my carry-on and take less space than two pairs of socks.
