Rocstor ET34 External SSD Overview

Take advantage of fast and secure storage with the Rocsecure ET34 4TB 4-Bay Thunderbolt 3 RAID Array from Rocstor. Featuring four 1TB SSDs, the ET34 offers 4TB of storage in RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, or JBOD modes. Data is safeguarded by 256-bit AES encryption, NIST and FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certifications, and authentication via a secure token key. Read or write data in RAID 0 at speeds up to 1411 and 1064 MB/s, respectively.

Featuring two Thunderbolt 3 ports and a mini DisplayPort output, this RAID array can be daisy chained with up to four more Thunderbolt 3 devices and can be connected to dual 4K displays or a 5K display. A Kensington Lock slot allows you to physically secure the array to a permanent fixture. Two 80mm cooling fans and the all-aluminum enclosure facilitate efficient heat dissipation. In addition to a quad encryption engine, the Rocstor ET34 also utilizes a hardware RAID controller for OS-independent functionality. Compatible with Windows 8 and later and MacOS X 10.10 and later, recommended system requirements include a Thunderbolt 3 port and a minimum of 600MB of free disk space.

Hardware Security in Real Time
Rocstor ET34 encryption technology is engineered to encrypt and decrypt the entire SATA HDD or SSD including boot sector, temporary files, and operating system with SATA III speeds. Rocstor's quad encryption engine features a dedicated engine for each drive, Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, and FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certification.
CryptoKey Token Key
The ET34 elevates encryption security to a higher level by offering a secure token key authentication method. Simply insert Rocstor's authentication token key into the drive. The encryption engines will then validate the unique token key. Once validated, the host computer will mount the RAID drive. Powered by four encryption engines, all data written to any drive will be encrypted. The CryptoKey Token Key features a wide array of defense mechanisms specifically designed to prevent physical attacks on the device itself or logical attacks on the data transmitted between the token key and ET34 storage device.
Thunderbolt 3
Benefit from fast throughput, thanks to a Thunderbolt 3 interface and transfer speeds up to 1411 MB/s in RAID 0. Daisy chain another four Thunderbolt 3 devices for a total of five interconnected devices. You can even connect dual 4K monitors or a single 5K display.
Encryption for Advanced Security
The Rocsecure ET34 chipset boasts Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm AES 256-bit key strength and real-time encryption. The encryption engine bears National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and FIPS Level 2 for a Cryptographic Module certifications.
Regulatory Compliance
The Rocsecure ET34 employs data encryption and pre-boot authentication, allowing organizations to better protect and control access to their corporate and customer records, thus complying with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB); it is also FCC and CE compliant. Token key authentication ensures protection from key-loggers, and together with full-disk encryption, this feature provides robust protection without compromising ease of use.
